CO₂ Laser cutting system is used to cut materials that either melts, burns, or vaporizes away, leaving an edge with a high quality surface finish.
Fralock utilizes high quality CO₂ laser cutting parameters in order to meet our customer’s requirements for tight tolerances, rapid turn around and high quality requirements. In microfluidic applications, for example, the benefits of lasers are realized by the narrow channels and tight tolerances that can be held consistently. Selective material ablation in single micron increments for parts requiring small features or tight tolerances for medical devices, electronics and next generation technology.
Material types include, polymers, polyimides, thin films, PEEK, PTFE, polyurethanes, mylar, all-polyimide laminates. Metal foils such as copper, aluminum, stainless steel, inconel, titanium, and others.
