Etched Foil Flex Cables
If you need reliable power distribution in critical applications, Fralock extended length flexible circuits can provide your solution. We have the unique ability to manufacture extended length flexible circuits without the need for splicing. With ultra-thin, lightweight polyimide, etched-foil construction and extreme flexibility, our flex cables are an excellent fit for harsh environments and applications where space and weight requirements are critical. While maintaining flexibility at temperature extremes from -269°C to +220°C, these cables are manufactured with precision technology and can reach up to 50 ft length.
Fralock’s adhesiveless all-polyimide (AP) technology enables hard creasing of our flexible circuits and harnesses without the risk of delamination or trace swim. They also provide a 30% mass savings over traditional flex harnesses, which use temperature-limiting adhesives. With our Adhesiveless Lamination Technology (ALT) technology, electronic components are encapsulated for protection from environmental disturbances.
Extended length substrates include polyimide, polyester, PEN, and Cirlex®. Foils include copper, Copper/Nickel, Nichrome, Stainless, Monel, and Inconel. Our extended length flex circuits can be fabricated with or without adhesive.
